Light that becomes part of architecture

MARQUART DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION CENTRE

At Marquardt's headquarters in Rietheim-Weilheim, a development and innovation centre was created that impressively combines architecture, technology and encounters. Two interlocking structures create a clear, modern silhouette and integrate sensitively into the landscape of the area. Inside, jobs, training areas and business restaurant are organized around two light-flooded atria – open spaces for exchange, ideas and new perspectives.

Murat Cap was responsible for the lighting design. Together with alurays, a tailor-made lighting solution was created that provides orientation, accentuates architecture and gives the building a distinctive atmosphere. Precisely integrated lighting lines, distinctive ring lights and staged staircase areas combine high design quality with efficient LED technology. Thus, light accompanies everyday work as naturally as events and informal encounters.

The result is a future-oriented corporate campus in which innovation becomes visible and spatially tangible: functional, energy-efficient and with a lighting design that creates identity. A project that combines technological precision and human quality of residence convincingly and permanently inspires.
