Light that becomes part of architecture

In 2016, the traditional urban space received a new exterior lighting that effectively combines architecture and quality of stay. The lighting concept was developed in collaboration with the lighting planner Murat Cap and its Luxwelt office. Alurays developed and delivered flush-fitted, fully-furnished linear LED profiles in protection class IP67. Precisely integrated into the structural elements, they draw clear light lines and support the spatial structure of the corridor without even stepping into the foreground. The robust construction reliably protects the technology from moisture and weather. A two-channel tunable white design also enables differentiated white light moods and atmospheric adaptation to use and time of day. Thus, the lively connection between Mottastraße and Langer Straße also maintains a distinctive identity in the evening. The result combines orientation, safety and inviting atmosphere with high design precision and permanently resilient LED technology for visitors, residents and local businesses alike.
