Dnr one altitude

Tailor-made lighting solution from Alurays

Project report

Light that becomes part of architecture

DNR One Altitude: Architecture in the Right Light

At the DNR One Altitude in Bengaluru, the façade lighting should make the striking architecture visible without even stepping into the foreground. The focus was on the gold-coloured powder-coated façade band, which should be experienced as a continuous, warm line of light after sunset.

Alurays developed a tailor-made indirect lighting solution for this purpose. An encapsulated linear profile with a width of only 15 millimetres was mounted at a specially tuned angle. This results in a clean, uniform illumination with minimal glare, while the light source itself remains hidden. Around 1,100 meters of the profile were installed with 3000 Kelvin warm white light and an output of 14 watts per meter.

The result underlines the architectural idea of the building, rather than overburdening it. The project shows how precise lighting planning, technical understanding and individual assembly concepts effectively stage a façade. Our thanks go to the teams of DNR Group, Hines and Colliers for their dedicated support and excellent cooperation throughout the entire implementation.
